Ria, they were giving away a Josefina doll? They didn't do that in Chicago! Wonder why the difference?

Joy, I went and had totally forgotten it was Josefina's Birthday!!!! When I went to AGP and saw, I was surprised! lol! But it was the same thing as last year, so basically it was the same. There was a gentleman playing the Violin, and a lady dressed as Josefina, there was a craft to do with the children and a Win Josefina contest, which I did not bother with, as I never win.
I did not bring my camera either, so no pics from me this time. sorry.
I had limited time, as I had my parents waiting in Queens for the American Girl items to be droven back home while I stayed with my aunt for the weekend to help her at her office.
AGPNY was crowded on Saturday and Monday! It was fun.
On Saturday I came out with Kit #4, which I LOVE!!!! I opened 17 Kit dolls til I found mine!!! She is an older version! and she is cuter than #1 So happy!! I also picked up Talto and HIGHLY recommend!! he is so cute! love him! And cause I felt quilty on forgetting Josefina, I got her Bday outfit!
And picked up Nia's Molly!!!!!!!!!!!
Then on Monday went with a friend, and she got me Kit's bathing suit as a gift! And I got her started with Coconut! she loves her!!! And now my friend wants Lissie too! Brought another one over!
Next Bday bash is going to be Addy's in April 9th that I will be attending as it is also the Convention date.

Oh how exciting...we are going to AGP in June for Kirsten's celebration! I can't wait! Sounds like a lovely time.
AGTeacher...I LOVE Talto too! I got him for my dh for his b-day, sounds funny, huh? He really like the Kaya stuff because it's outdoors and living off the land. He's all about that. Him and dd went to work right away on the travois and he made it all boy like, wrapping the extra pieces in places...Anyway, I said all that to say...YEP, Talto is the best!
Oh, I forgot to say congrads on getting your Kit #4 and just the one you wanted and it being an older version...yea for you!!
Glad to hear you have a perfect Kit now Ria. And it's also nice to hear that all of you who went to Josephina's Birthday-do had a good time.
I went to the store in NY. I was busy earlier that day and didn't think I'd be able to make it, but I got out early, and decided to go to Josefina's celebration with my mom. We got there for the last 15 minutes of the celebration and ran into Nikki, Lorie, and Kathrine there! It had forgotten they were going as well so it was fun to bump into them. I entered the drawing and even had a bizcochito cookie.
I'm looking forward to Felicity's celebration; we're having tea and bringing my 7-year-old cousin, who's NEVER been to AGP! She's read most of the AG books so I can't wait to show her all the dolls.

congrats Ria on Kit #4! So glad you love her!
How many people went to Josefina's birthday celebration at one of the AGP's? Tracy, Lori, OSussanah, three of their daughters and I were at AGPChicago, and I think others were there too that we didn't know about at the time. Were you one of them? How about AGPNY--who all went there?
We had a great time. I had trouble with parking, and spent about an hour trying to figure out what to do, so I missed the last hour of Josefina's celebration, with the actress dressed in costume, and the crafts, etc. But we had a great time at the tea, and with some shopping and hanging out together.
Do any of you have pictures to post yet--or have you done that already and I just missed it?
Joy
